I saw flying fish

Have no fear, explorers. Alia’s handwriting is going to improve. In the meantime, the transcript is below.

So I'm stuck in this umbrella. But I saw these amazing flying fish. A storm was coming and I don't know if there were so many because of the coming storm of it they were randomly coming through. Afterward I found a fin floating in the water so I grabbed it, drew it, and tossed it back.

[Live size (but very broken)]

This is just my best guess. From what I could clean from the various fish flying by and the bits of random parts that floated by. Looked like a feeding frenzy. Meat chunks. Fins. Most of one head. The one head I found had silly little eyebrows—floppy blobs. Like on of those fancy goldfish. I think we had some when I was little. Uncle, of course, got rid of it.

They came in so many colors. A rainbow of fish. Leaping in and out of waves. A stochastic rainbow.

And I think they were actually flying? I saw them flapping rather than just gliding through the air. And they went much farther than expected. One leaped over me! Water dripped into my eyes, which was quite uncomfortable, but also pretty neat. I wish I knew where I was. I thought I saw birds, which would mean land, but now—they might have been flying fish. For sanity's sake—it was a bird.

[GREEN, ORANG, PURPLE. They were all iridescent.]

[Top fin is smaller than the lower fin by half]

I hope they were fleeing a storm. I'm not sure I will survive in this umbrella. I have my suitcase but it just has art and knitting supplies. Not helpful in this situation.
