Busy busy busy. But not finished! I have a lot of things in progress but not quite done.
I might have mentioned I work part time weaving rugs at True North Textiles. I also write at least part of their blog. So yesterday, I did a free blog workshop through SCORE. It was about what I expected, but I still got a couple nuggets of good information. It is a tough blog to write because our clients are both individual consumers and B2B with interior designers. I recently wrote about my trip to Fiber Fusion, which I think I also mentioned here. And we recently took a tour of Spincycle Yarns, a local yarn company. I will have a post about it up soon and will link you to that, too. It was awesome.
I did Inktober. Got a 36 page comic out of it! As of this second, the title is Found to Hidden. I just need to draw up a cover and then you $5+ guys will get a nice little PDF of it. I will also have copies for sale. It’s about half letter.
I did another comic in October about the ants in my kitchen, The Ants of Our Discontent. It will be fore sale soon and posting on my autobio comic, Inky Comics. But I will give you $5 and up folks a PDF of it early. It’s a wee little thing, quarter letter.
I also remembered my mom has a nice printer that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to print color, so I went over there and reprinted More Than You Ever Wanted to Know About Horseshoe Crabs and Serial Immortality. And I redid the cover of Horseshoe Crabs because I didn’t like the original background. It still uses the carbon dust and ink horseshoe crab illustration, but has a more vibrant digital watercolor background. Hmm. I might even remake the Horseshoe Crab Eyes poster.
Above is the new back cover. Below is the old front cover. Blegh. I was in too much of a hurry. And I didn’t know about the Webster brushes! Which are now just part of the Creative Suite. Things have changed a lot in the last 4 years.
