Another Emily Dickinson poem for the library swap. I said Ferndale Public Library in the last post, but really it is the whole Whatcom County Library system. I just work at Ferndale so I always think of them as the same thing. The faceless portrait, one of my favorite illustrations from this set, is Emily Dickinson. Graphite, watercolor pencil, and a watercolor brush. I was watching Murdoch Mysteries, so this makes me think of that show. I thoroughly enjoy that show. I have Acorn TV, now (because it is the only place that Midsomer Murders is available). So I can watch up through season 13. Netflix has only up through season 11. Such a sad site.

Poem text:

I’m Nobody? Who are you?
Are you nobody, too?
Then there’s a pair of us—don’t tell!
They’d banish us, you know.

How dreary to be somebody!
How public, like a frog
To tell your name the livelong day
To an admiring bog!
